OSHA RFI:  Falls in Shipyards

For details on this OSHA Request for Information (RFI), CLICK HERE: OSHA requests information on its safety standards addressing falls in shipyards

Specifically, the RFI seeks comments and information on the:

(1) Safe access and egress of vessels, buildings, and other structures in shipyard employment (including the use of stairways and ladders);

(2) Use of fall and falling object protection; and

(3) Erection, use, and dismantling of scaffolding systems.

In other words:  OSHA is looking to update/enhance/improve safety standards governing shipyard employment.

Are you a stakeholder in the shipyard industry???

If so, consider actively participating in the rulemaking process

(Do not feel alone if you unequivocally – & without hesitation – fancy the inquiry rhetorical.)
